The History

Danhov made the papers recently by taking home Platinum Guild International’s (PGI) award in the “entry-level bridal” category (settings under $3,500) with a piece from its Eleganza collection. One of the features that Danhov is best known for are their signature swirls. Take this gorgeous piece from their Abbraccio collection on James Allen, for example. Here designers almost treat the wire as a piece of thread, giving the ring a halo appearance without any diamond accents and paying homage to their fashion-based roots through their superior craftsmanship.
What’s more, all of their rings are created and assembled by hand at their studio in Hollywood, using eco-friendly processes devoid of the chemicals and big machinery used in large-scale production elsewhere. When I tested Danhov, one of the rings I went with was this one you can find on James Allen, from their Classico line, made up of single-shank solitaire settings: The simplicity of the band speaks to the timelessness of the tradition and gives that added pop to the details of the elaborate head.
The other ring I went with was this beautiful halo from their “Solo Filo” collection. The name of collection itself means “just wire” and that’s how they are crafted—from a single wire. This particular ring features a split shank (common in many of their designs) which leads right into the robust halo.
