I want a nice sparkly diamond which is eye clean .75 to 1 carat is acceptable.

I have lost 3 days of sleep already and I cant do this anymore lol I would desperately appreciate any advice you can provide me.

I’m trying to buy this ring set as my future wife to be loves this design. Again, I know you are extremely busy with a lot of inquries, but any advice on the diamonds I have chosen would be greatly appreciated.

I guess my biggest question is that this 18x magnification of the diamond makes me double guess what I should buy.

Wow Ira! You have put a smile on my face. This has been one of the most stressful things. I was going to buy a diamond from Blue Nile, then read your article. I have been reading it and it has answered a lot of my questions. Even though I have read a lot of information about diamond purchasing, this has been difficult. I guess I have been over analyzing, over thinking, etc.

I totally agree with your article on the history of engagement rings and how we are all suckers, but as you put it bluntly,

It’s not nice to say, but whoever buys a diamond engagement ring is a sucker to the biggest scam in history (yours truly included). But what can we do? Our wives-to-be have unfortunately drunk the kool aid as well and it is never advisable to dissapoint a new bride-to-be!
