I am in the process of purchasing a wedding band for my fiance and would love your opinion. I did a lot of research and your site was very helpful. I found a great engagement ring on JamesAllen.com.
Now for the wedding band. I was initially going to go with James Allen again with a similar pave setting to match the engagement band, but my fiance found a similar band at Zales for about $200 cheaper. The difference was that Zales band was 10k white gold. The engagement ring is 18k white gold. Does it matter to match the same white gold quality? Does Zales have quality diamonds or are they lab created? I don’t want to skimp on the wedding band but we also don’t want to buy something too expensive. Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Can you send me the rings you found on both sites?
Generally speaking, Zale’s doesn’t have the best quality: https://www.diamonds.pro/reviews/zales/.
But they do sell real diamonds.
Here is what I believe the ring was from Zales. She went to the mall to look at one and this one closely resembles it. She thinks it may have been 1/6 carat weight. But of course from what it says, that is approximate.

Here is the ring I was looking at from James Allen:

Also, here is the engagement ring for reference, so you know what I’m trying to match it with:

It’s looking like the James Allen wedding band would be slightly slimmer than the engagement band so not sure it would match up the best.
I appreciate your advice.
Thanks!
I’d rather choose the JA ring, especially when you’re matching a JA engagement ring.
Plus, the quality will be probably better than from Zales.
The slightly different thickness of the wedding band isn’t a big deal. I don’t think you will notice the 0.1-0.2mm.
Ok, thank you for your advice.
