I am looking for a center stone replacement for my engagement ring. At the time we got married, my fiancé and I could only afford the setting I wanted (a gorgeous vintage-look from Varna) and our destination wedding if we re-used an old diamond that I had (from my grama’s ring). Now that some time has passed, we would like to replace the center stone.
My budget is $10,000. Sparkle is more important to me than size, although I want at least one carat. I have a very good independent local jeweler that I can talk to.
Do you have any recommendations?
Thank you.
I can help you pick out a diamond that is probably much cheaper than what the local jewelers have. The problem is you need to work with a local jeweler to figure out what size diamond that setting will hold. I’d probably recommend a nice 1.50ct I SI1 for that ring, but I’m not sure it’d fit.
A 1.5 will fit. That is what I was looking for.
Here are a couple I’d recommend:

I really like that 1.53. Its bright, eye-clean and a great value. What do you think?
I like the 1.53 too and it is great for my budget.
Thanks!
Looks like a winner then. Let me know how it looks when it arrives.
