Q&A: Upgrading a Pear Shaped Diamond from James Allen

I purchased a loose diamond from James Allen 1 1/2 yr ago – Pear shaped 0.57 carat E color VS2 clarity GIA for $1500. I want to purchase a larger loose pear stone – at least 1.0 carat. I will be using the lifetime upgrade; so I must purchase at least 2x original price. I have budgeted $1800 – $2000 plus the original stone price for a total of $3800 – $4000. I wear the stone at a pendant – any advice you can provide is appreciated. Thanks.
