Q&A: The Perfect $3000 Diamond

I love your site. I have been dreading buying a diamond for months now because I just don’t trust any of the merchants out there. I can’t tell you what a relief your site has been to me. It’s funny, I don’t trust some of my longtime friends, but through your site, I have come to trust you and your judgment.

While I have a general understanding of the 4 Cs, I know I am not qualified to select the right diamond within my budget. As you know, you don’t become an expert on diamonds overnight, it comes with years of experience.

I want the diamond to fill up the setting like in the picture, but I don’t want it to look like she is wearing a glob of amber from Jurassic Park. If $3,000 is unrealistic to accomplish this, feel free to send me other recommendations.

I received the ring today. All I can say is WOW, WOW, WOW she is going to love it!!!!! I am so pleased with this ring I’m almost speechless.

It is so funny to think that all the diamond retailers I talked to discouraged me from purchasing a “J” color stone. For the most part they recommended a minimum of “H”. It’s really no surprise to me that you were 100% correct in this stone. As you predicted, it looks colorless to the naked eye (and I have “tested” it in all types of lighting).
