Q&A: Seeking Round Eye-Clean 2 Carat Diamond

I stumbled on your website while doing my research, and have found it to be enormously helpful. I’m confident in my abilities to pick a stone with good dimensions, but even with the ”virtua loop” on James Allen’s site, I’m a bit nerve-wrecked over which stones will be eye clean, and which won’t.

Would you mind taking a look at an image for me and letting me know your opinion on whether this stone is eye clean? Any help you could provide would be enormously appreciated.

I like the pairing of the I color with Med. Blue flourescence, and the 2.04 karat size is nice also.)

I had contacted you a while back to get your opinion on a stone I was looking at at JA. Well, I haven’t yet pulled the trigger on that diamond, but I’m about to make a purchase (I’m doing this within the next 24 hours, God willing) and was wondering if you would look at one final group of stones for me and make a recommendation between them. They’re all I color and around 2 carat. My main requirements are an excellent cut and that the stone be completely eye-clean.

(this one’s a bit of a reach I think as far as eye-cleanliness, but the cost is substantially less than the other 3, only slightly smaller (1.90), and the cut grade is excellent (AGS 1 or 2)

Any advice you could give would be enormously helpful.

I called JA about those 2 stones and their GG’s opinion was that they are both eye clean (in fact, they apparently raved about the 1.9 carat ‘000 diamond, though I’m not entirely sure why as they both had excellent dimensions). Based on that opinion and on your recommendation, I went with the ‘000 diamond in the six-prong platinum knife edge setting (I used your 10% off code for that). For about 14k shipped, I think that I did very well (provided that this stone is as beautiful as I hope that it is). I should hopefully get the ring just before Thanksgiving, and I’ll let you know what I think.
