Thank you so much for the valuable information and resources you provide on your website. I have done a ton of research on diamonds, certificates, purchasing options etc. I have gone to stores, ebay, bluenile, james allen etc. etc. and while I feel like I have learned a lot, the amount of diamonds, certifications and sources is a little overwhelming. I would love to get a trusted, unbiased option:
My girlfriend’s ring size is 6.25, she wants a a single round diamond in a yellow gold setting. Based on her ring size and the setting color can you possible give me a few diamond recommendations that are a great value.
Thank you for your help!
I’d be happy to help. What is your ballpark budget?
I currently have $3,500 saved for a ring but I understand that James Allen offers financing. I would like to stay under $8,000 for a ring (diamond+setting).
My fiancé wants to keep it very simple, round stone, yellow gold “Tiffany” setting (approx. $600 on most sites); which leaves most of the budget for the actual stone. I know you recommend lower colors for yellow gold settings, I-M, in order to get the biggest bang for your buck. She told me her ring size was 6 1/4, I’m not totally certain what at 1 ct, 1.3 ct, 1.5 ct would look like on her finger but I don’t want it to look small, I also don’t want it to look fake.
I also what the diamond to be eye clean and not milky.
What else do you need from me?
Thank you in advance for your help!
You can get a larger diamond on the north end of your budget:
What do you think of this?
That looks pretty good, it is eye cleaning? Also, do you have any suggests for something a little smaller say a 1.3 or 1.4? Thanks for your help!
