Hi, I would appreciate your help. I’m in Canada and we’re looking for the best value round cut diamond. We’re looking for a diamond between 1.8 – 2.2 carats. One that is eye clean but will really sparkle. I was speaking to a local jeweller and he said for himself, he would choose one that is si2 but eye clean, f color and excellent cut. Thoughts?
1) budget is $20,000 Canadian dollars,including taxes and duties.
2) setting will be platinum or white gold
3) solitaire setting will not have side diamonds but will have sort antique detail. Sorry I don’t have a link of the setting.

Thanks for your suggestions. I should clarify, I’m looking to spend $20k on the diamond. And $2k for the setting.
I hear what you’re saying about color in your article but I think we would rather have a diamond with say a G color. Maybe H. I would even rather go a tad bit smaller to stay in budget.

Yes I could probably stretch the budget. I think it is a beautiful diamond but as it’s rotating, I can see what appears to be a somewhat large inclusion in the table area. Do you think it would be eye clean? Thanks.
That is a very slight cloud and I don’t think its an issue. The larger inclusion is right at the edge which is great.
