Hi, I’m looking to get a 1.5ct Asscher cut diamond to go with a platinum pave style ring.
My budget for everything is 20-22K (really prefer to keep it at 20K if possible). Can you give me any recommendations? Thanks!
You can easily be under that price.

These are both fantastic choices that are larger than 1.50ct. They leave you plenty of room for a nice setting and still come in way under budget. What do you think?
Thanks. I had heard from a couple of people that since an Asscher is somewhat flat across the faces, it was more important to make sure that the color was towards the higher end of the chart with respect to color. Specifically the recommendation that I should probably look towards a diamond that was E (or maybe if really necessary F).
I know that my girlfriend will want a dazzling and colorless diamond as possible. How noticeable would the difference between E and H be on this cut?
I disagree vehemently. Yes, color is more important than with round. But that is why we recommend H color instead of J.

I think its an absolute waste of money to focus on EF.
