Stacey is an accountant and also an avid horseback rider and wants the ring to be as low profile as possible to avoid getting in the way while typing and riding. Because of this she really doesn’t want a large stone. I think 1 Ct would be the maximum depending on how the individual stone is cut. She prefers the princess cut and my budget on the stone would top out around $3500. It could be increased if the right stone came up.

This is actually a “Leo” stone that’s being quietly sold on JA. Normally, Leo’s don’t have such a nice cut, but this one is different. The proportions are great.

I received some bad news from James Allen today. The diamond we had chosen became unavailable for some reason prior to shipping. I received a call today and the sales rep suggested another stone as a replacement; they did not give me a price other than saying that it was listed for more than my original stone and that they may be able to help me out a little on the price.
