Hi, I am looking for a Princess cut diamond for a solitaire white gold setting on James Allen and I am having difficulty pulling the trigger. I am getting stuck trying to find the best bang for my buck, I would like to keep it around 10k and get the best diamond (aren’t we all) for my money. I have narrowed it down to a few loose stones but keep coming back to this one
Any inputs are greatly appreciated.
That diamond is poorly cut (way too deep) and not eye-clean. I think you are trying to stretch your budget a bit too much.
Any recommendations? I was originally planning for about 1.5 ct. Is a higher quality diamond at a smaller size a smarter choice on my budget?
Yes. Its not like I’m suggesting getting a colorless VVS diamond. But cut is very important (i’ll guide you through that) and you need to make sure its eye-clean.

These would be my recommendations for you.
