Q&A: Picking an Eye-Clean Diamond for a White Metal Solitaire Ring With a $6k Budget

Hi, I’m looking for the best round diamond I could buy for $6000.00. The right setting could either be white gold or platinum (not too concern about this since the $6K budget is just for the diamond). I read your articles on Cut, Color, Clarity, Polish, and Symmetry but still confuses me when looking at all the available diamonds at JamesAllen.com to choose from. I wish you could help me with some recommendation. The bigger the carat weight, the better. Not too concern about clarity as long as it is “eye-clean” just like what you mentioned in your article.

It is very close in price to the 1.12 carat you found but lower in clarity. Is this eye-clean as well? 

I travelled out of the country on a business trip so I was not able to take care of this. When I checked the ones you recommended and the ones I chose, they are no longer available. So now I’m searching again and I’ll pull the trigger once I’ve chosen one.

I would appreciate it if you could help me again for the last time. I’m choosing between these two diamonds. Which one would you prefer?
