Hi, I wanted to get your experienced opinion about diamond shape (round vs. cushion) and ring setting (high vs. low) as well as a thicker band vs. thinner band. Her ring size is 3.75 and she has slender long fingers. Are there particular diamond cuts and ring designs that tend to look good on people with her type of hand / finger shape? I really appreciate your help!
I think Oval and Pear shape look great and I’d recommend a thinner band. Do you want particular recommendations?
That would be great. Perhaps an oval and round recommendation for a 1.25 to 1.5ct size diamond. The round can be a Brian Gavin blue if you see a nice one. Thank you so much!
Can you give me a ballpark budget for the diamond?
Between 7k to 10k max for diamond.

These would be my recommendations. What do you think?
I’m really liking the Brian Gavin diamond. I had limited out the strong blue options so I did not see this one. Should I be worried about strong blue even though it’s Brian Gavin? I’m afraid it will be noticeable. I have actually scheduled a visit in person to their Houston office to see the diamonds…hoping this one is still available at that time. If there’s anything else I should be considering please let me know.
I have been looking at rings that have a thin pave band and with a small halo. Altogether it will probably cost me $12K for the ring and setting. Quite happy if I can stay under that budget.
Thank you for your time.
The blue line is my favorite choice to recommend. I have never had a reader complain about the fluorescence.
