Hi, I read your Blue Nile review since the company was recommended by a friend and I found it to be extremely eye opening. I have been taking notes while going through your articles and saw your offer to help me find the perfect diamond. Thank you so much for saving me from a big costly mistake already!
My budget for the stone is roughly $3.5k. I am planning on purchasing a white gold setting and have been focusing mainly on these 3:

Thank you so much for your help and the education you have given me.
I’d be happy to make some recommendations. Just to be sure, you are looking for a round diamond, correct? All those settings can be used for other shapes, so I didn’t want to make a mistake.
Yes, I was looking for a round diamond. Wow, I really appreciate your help!
My pleasure. Heres the diamond I’d recommend for you;
Its a bright, eye-clean and a great value. What do you think?
I think it looks great! I think the only concern I have is not being able to notice any inclusions except for maybe a small one on the far left. However I can’t tell if that is just the rendering of the image on the site. Should I be able to see any major inclusions from the image on the site?
Thank you so much.
…
Also, is it true I should find a setting with 6 prongs? I hadn’t really considered that but it makes sense that if you lose one prong in a 4 prong design, the stone could be lost.
1) The diamond is eye-clean. Keep in mind the video is magnified 25X and the photo is 40X
2) No. With that size, four-prong is perfectly fine.
I want to thank you again for your help. I sat on my hands for 2 days and the diamond was snatched up. I didn’t realize I could put it on hold. That was my mistake. You invested your time to help me and I can’t believe I let it slip through my fingers. So I have been sifting through a lot of diamonds using your recommendations and making some comparisons in regards to the clarity of the first diamond you showed me. I also increased my budget to $4300 for the stone. I am just having trouble being able to tell which inclusions are going to make the diamond not “eye clean”. I have been looking at these 2 diamonds today. Are the inclusions in these stones something I should avoid?

I’d go with the H SI2. Ask them to cover the inclusion with a prong.
