Greetings from Asia! I’ve been reading up on your wonderful website and I’m so glad i came across it before taking the plunge on buying an engagement ring.
If it’s not too much trouble, could you help me pick out the best bang for buck diamond with a tight budget in the $1100 to $1300 range? I guess it would be something in the I-J color range with VS2-S1 clarity.
The setting would be a round cut diamond in a 14k white gold 4 pronged engagement ring.
With the US dollar still being relatively strong, it’s still cheaper to buy online through James Allen than locally. I’m just scared of stuffing it up buying it without your expert help.
I’ve narrowed it down to a few diamonds:
i’m not too sure about the color grading on this one, it’s listed as color-I but to me it has a redish tint to it?
this one has a redish tint to it as well but is pretty clean:
Or should i stick with the ones that are ‘white’ in color to my eye?
If you could review my choices and advise me on which is the best or pick one out for me, i would be truly grateful!
It seems like you have this diamond buying process down pat. I love the first diamond you selected. It’s eye-clean and that reddish tint is just reflection from something in the room.
Let me know how it looks when it arrives.
