I am looking to replace a lost center diamond from my wife’s three stone white gold ring. The lost stone was a .57 carat H SI2. We have set a budget of around $1700.00 for the new stone (willing to go to $1800.00). I have been looking at the James Allen site for .58 carat to .64 carat H-I ideal cut. I find myself veering toward VS2-SI1 clarity due to my lack of real world experience with effects of inclusions. I leaning more to stones like 455373, but something like 401999 may provide more bang for the buck? Thanks for the help.
I’d be happy to help. Was your original diamond GIA certified? I just want to make sure it matches well with the setting.
Thanks for the reply. The original stone was not GIA certified. It was appraised upon purchase and again about 10 years ago when we changed the setting.
This would be my recommendation for you:
What do you think?
Looks good. I think I’ll take this one.
Sounds like a good plan. Let me know how things work out with them.
