Hi, I was after some help choosing a princess cut diamond from James Allen. I’m ready to buy now and my budget is $8000-$9000. If there are any exceptional buys i may be able to stretch it further.
It is to be set into an 18ct white gold pave setting. As I’m sure is the case with everybody else, I am looking for the largest eye clean stone in a colour i can get away with. Thank you in advance and i would appreciate any help you can offer me.

The vvs2 seems like very good value to me. James Allen says the vs2 is an ideal cut where the vvs2 is very good. Is the difference in cut quality negligible? If so i will be proceeding with the vvs2.
I ignore their cut grades completely. When a diamond is not round, there is no GIA cut grade. The cuts on both diamonds are superb. I actually prefer the cut on the VVS diamond (I would avoid the extremely thin girdles).
The diamond is now on hold and i will be purchasing tomorrow. Thanks so much for your help. Made the process a lot easier.
