I am very happy I stumbled across your website. Lots of great information. I stopped at a brick and mortar store today and they were showing me some EGL certified diamonds. After they told me the cost differences I was excited!…until I found your article saying to stay away from them. 🙂 Anyway…I am looking for a Marquise cut set in a white gold channel band. Its all getting a little overwhelming and its difficult to see the differences online. Any suggestions on how to weed through everything? I’d like to stay below $4,000 for the diamond and the setting. Thanks.

This looks beautiful! I have been looking at F and G color diamonds with a SI1 or worse clarity. Those were all more expensive. Why is this one less $$? Is it the medium Fluorescent?

The higher color (which we feel is unnecessary). Looking around, you’ll see that everyone views H colors with medium fluorescence as a bonus.
