I’m looking for a round brilliant stone for under $2000. My research is showing me that this would be about a 3/4 carat diamond. I would love to get larger if possible and would be willing to increase that budget a bit if there was a big deal to be had.
The stone would be set in the 18k yellow gold version of James Allen’s Lotus Flower or Antique Bezel and Pave set or something similar.
Let me know if you need any other info.
And thanks so much for your help!
With those settings, you should stick with I+. I recommend this diamond for you:
What do you think?
I like it but wonder a little bit about those inclusions near the top and on the left side when looking straight at the face. Would those be an issue or would they be relatively hidden by the setting?
I could got up to 2500 or so if you think that would yield a significant increase in the quality/size of the diamond (while taking into account your rules on visually diminishing returns for less included diamonds).
Also, with I+ do you mean A-I for color or I, J, etc…?
Thanks so much for your help!
1) I am absolutely confident the diamond is eye-clean. The crown is the best place for inclusions, the color/harshness is pretty faint on them and they are dispersed. Keep in mind the image is magnified 25X. I don’t think its worth spending extra.
2) I basically meant I color.
Ok, great! Thanks so much for your help.
My pleasure.
