Q&A: Looking for Round Brilliant Diamond for Solitaire Setting on $7-7.5K Budget

By Mike Fried,

Thank you for your continuous advice on this site!

Can you recommend the best value for a loose diamond to be set in a solitaire setting for about $7-7.5K?

I found the following diamond for $8,170 but wasn’t sure if it’s a good one in terms of value.

It’s a bit too expensive so I am trying to find an alternative. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

I think this diamond is a much better value:

It’s bright, eye-clean and will look great in a solitaire.

Thank you very much for your advice and the services you provide! I purchased the diamond you recommended. It’s supposed to arrive tomorrow and I will let you know my first impressions.

Sounds great. Let me know how it looks when it arrives.

Wanted to thank you again for your invaluable advice!

I am attaching an image of the diamond that you recommended set in a Bez Ambar setting.
