Hi Iโm getting this ring https://www.jamesallen.com/engagement-rings/halo/14k-white-gold-pave-halo-diamond-engagement-ring-princess-center-item-17453?a_aid=dmnd1357 . Iโm wondering if it will be ok to set it (the center stone ) with a diamond between H-J since the average color for pave on the ring is F-G. and also if itโs going to come out well if set with a 0.5 or thereabout stone. I have no idea what a 1 carat stone looks like so Iโm unable to have a clear picture of how 0.5 is going to look.
Hoping to hear from you
With that setting, its best to focus on an H color. What is your budget for the diamond? Iโd be happy to make some recommendations.
I really appreciate your response. Thank you very much.
I did a search on James Allen, and I couldnโt find an affordable diamond in the H region within my budget ๐ .
This was my best findย https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/princess-cut/0.55-carat-j-color-vvs2-clarity-sku-90999?a_aid=dmnd1357
otherwise, my jeweler advised that I get the setting and then set the center stone with a CZ and upgrade at a later time ๐
You should not get a J color. Can you stretch your budget to get this one?

 What do you think?
Thank you so much Michael. After many many weeks and months of searching I decided after I found your site that whatever you decided was going to be law. ๐
I will just have to stretch that budget.
Thank you so much for everything. ๐
Keep up the good work.

Let me know how it looks when it arrives.
