Hi, So glad to have found this site. We’re looking at http://jblacher.com/SearchResults.aspx?Search=111-4-512 for the setting. I have two round stones @~2.6mm that I’m going to try to use for the side stone. I guess the picture shows a round center stone, but the jeweler there said that an oval can work. We’ll be sticking with the white gold. The list price of the setting is running at about $1200, but that includes their side stones, not mine. I think I’d put my upper limit of the center stone at about $3750, but I’d like to stay around $3250 if i can.
Thanks.
This is the diamond I’d recommend for you:
www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/oval-cut/1.01-carat-i-color-si1-clarity-sku-226727?a_aid=dmnd1357
Its bright, eye-clean and well cut. What do you think?
Thanks so much. The site has been a life and $ saver I think this diamond is a great match-one thing though, the jeweler said the setting holds a 1 carat, but i’m assuming 1.01 won’t cause an issue, right?
Thanks.
No. When he says 1ct, he means the 1ct range.
I understand. Let me run something by you if I can-
Between the diamond you selected
and this one
Is there anything that would constitute a ‘dealbreaker?’ It seems like a pretty substantial savings while still getting a good looking product?
Thanks.
That is a fantastic alternative.
