Q&A: Looking for a Second Opinion on a 1.52 Ct. G SI2 Cushion Diamond for $6800

I am looking to buy this 1.52 kt G SI2 cushion diamond. It is pretty much eye clean but has a feather in the bottom left corner see the photo in the link fron James Allen. I have it on hold right know and am going to ask for additional photos and possibly someone to look at it again to verify it is eye clean. Your website has been a huge help. i took your advice about the clarity and believe i have found a eye clean SI2. The feather is in the corner and hope it can be masked with the prong of the setting. What do you think?

Thank you for you help. I am currently waiting for the gemologist to look at it again. They said it would take about 3 days. Once i recieve the report from James Allen i can move forward. Do you think the feather in the corner can be masked with a prong in the setting?

Hello, I just heard back from the gemologist and this is what was said:
The gemologist found this diamond to have a great amount of brilliance (white light return) with a very good amount of fire (dispersion of color) and sparkle that is well balanced and symmetrical. The center of the diamond is offering broader flashes of light, while the outside (crown area) is giving off the “crushed ice” look. It faces up a nice white color and a nice soft, cushion outline. The feather in the diamond is fairly deep and is visible, but she did say that we could hide most of it behind a prong.

Do you think it is worth getting. Like you said i can always send it back if i dont like it. Thanks again for your help.

I am awaiting the arrival of the diamond i ordered. Is there anything i should look for in regards the the feather in the diamond.? The gemologist didn’t say there was a concern of it chipping and that it could be hidden behind the prong and based on all the discussion on your website i think The gemologist would have said something if there was concern. I just want to make sure i am not overlooking something. Thank again for you help and advice. 

Just recieved the ring and the diamond looks great. I think my wife is going to love it. It really is eye clean the feather is hidden well with the prong. If i didnt know it was there i would never see it. Attached is a photo of it. Thanks again for you help and advice.
