Thank you so much. I do appreciate it.
Can you recommend some diamonds? It’s for a simple solitaire engagement ring in rose gold (with platinum setting) for my girlfriend, soon to be fiancee. (hopefully!)
Absolutely. Can you send me a picture of the setting?
I thought something like this:
Petite Solitaire Engagement Ring
My budget is £5,000-£6,000 for the diamond. I would go slightly more for the right diamond but I couldn’t really go more than £7,000.
Thank you for the info. For a rose gold solitaire, you can go with a J color and it is going to look colorless.
I found some options you might like:
Blue Nile LD10032031
Blue Nile LD10038085
Blue Nile LD10070994
Blue Nile LD08219407
They have fantastic specs.
What do you think?
Thank you again!I’m so surprised how much cheaper diamonds are via the sources you recommend compared to my local jeweller.
So do you think J a colour would be OK on a rose gold ring even though I’d get the setting made in white gold/platinum?
J color looks great in any solitaire setting. As long as there are no additional diamonds in the band, it looks perfectly colorless.
That’s great, I will choose one of them. I just need to decide of 1.3ct will be too showy for her, perhaps the 1 carat diamond would be the way to go. Thanks very much for your help and advice.
You’re welcome, it’s been a pleasure helping you.
