I’ve been looking at James Allen quite a bit trying to pick out a great diamond for my soon to be fiance.
I’m looking at spending around $3,000 on the diamond in a cushion cut.
The metal of the setting will be 14k White Gold.
Here’s a link to the setting I think I’m going to go with: https://www.jamesallen.com/engagement-rings/halo/14k-white-gold-pave-halo-and-shank-diamond-engagement-ring-cushion-center-item-17429?a_aid=dmnd1357
What do you think about this diamond?
I’d recommend this diamond over that:
The diamond you found is poorly cut. Not only will it be less brilliant, but the deep cut means it will actually look smaller.
Wow – the difference is incredible! Thanks!
…
So breaking news now – the setting I had picked out she is not a fan of at all. I’m now looking at one of these two:

Suffice to say they are another $1000, bringing my budget for the diamond itself to around the $2000-$2250 range.
That being said, what do you think about these?
