Is your budget for the diamond or does it include the setting?
Per your recommendations I was looking for a cushion cut around 1c that is eye clean and has depth and table < 70%. This is what I found on James Allen:

There are cheaper ones that are eye clean but I did not find any with the depth and table requirements. Why are they important?
That rock paired with this setting is where I’m at currently.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Especially if you think there is a better deal to be had. Thanks!

Forgot to answer your question… That is the total budget.
That looks like a great pair. You have yourself a winner. The depth/table are the main factors in determining brilliance. Additionally, if the diamond is cut deeply it will look small.
Let me know how it looks when it arrives.
Thanks for the response! So you feel like that diamond is “eye clean”?
Yes.
