Hi, I am looking for a ~2ct rectangular radiant cut diamond to be set in a white gold halo setting. I’d like to keep the budget as close to $20k as possible, but am willing to go up a little for the right stone.
A local store has offered the following: 2 ct.; G color; VS1; depth: 68.5%; table: 67%, medium fluorescence; $23k
Please let me know if you have any thoughts on their stone, or if you’re able to recommend something comparable (or better) online. I definitely want to stick to the rectangular shape (L/W ratio greater than 1.25)
Thank you for an excellent site!
The specs are nice. Its a good diamond. Personally I’d save a lot of money going with a nice H
Thanks! That looks like a really nice stone – and it will definitely save me a nice chunk of change. I have one follow-up question, is the culet anything to be concerned about? I’ve tried to do some research, but can’t find too much info on this subject.
Small is perfectly fine. For radiants you need to avoid Large+ (maybe be a little concerned about medium). Small is nothing to worry about.
