Let me know if you need any help with the search.
Thank you so much for the promo code. I actually would like to ask for your opinion. This is my first time buying, I’ve been doing constant research comparing prices with local jewelers and Bluenile.com. Blue Nile is significantly lower.
I am searching for a 1.50-1.65 carat diamond specs include VS2, color D, ideal round cut, medium to thick girdle. I understand if the diamond has a fluorescence it is considered a flaw. Does this effect the diamond under natural light or just a black light? I have notice many similar diamonds on the website but sometimes they are 1,000-2,000 different in price.
Any help would be grateful. Thank you again for your time.
As for the fluorescence, none and faint is fine on high colors (D-G) but medium or strong can cause a hazy look (on a daily light). You can read more here: https://www.diamonds.pro/education/fluorescence/.
Is there a reason why you’re specifically looking for a D color grade? An F or G grade is going to look colorless and it saves you money. Are you willing to go slightly down with the grade? Do you also want to see my suggestion?
Thank you for getting back to me. Also thank you for the information of fluorescence. I was just trying to maximize the diamond for my budget. I figured D-E color would have been the best option, I would love to hear your suggestion, like I said any help would be greatly appreciated. I am really in the dark here, thank you again.
……
I also found a G color diamond and would like to know your opinion on it or if you had a better recommendation.

Thank you again.
That’s great that you’re willing to go down with the color grade. A G color diamond is also going to look colorless and it saves you money.
The stone you found is beautiful at the same time I found slightly bigger diamond and significantly less expensive:

What do you think?
Not a problem thank you for helping me. That diamond is great it’s nearly the same diamond and almost $3000 less. Do you think that is a nice diamond? Will you be able to see any color in the stone with a G grade in a platinum setting?
I’m happy to hear that you like my suggestion.
No, a G color stone is going to look colorless. There’s no need to worry about the grade. G is a great option and I personally wouldn’t go higher (https://www.diamonds.pro/education/color/).
If you want to spend the extra buck, I’d rather go for a bigger diamond.
