Hi. I have been looking for a diamond for about a year in preparation and the time is finally upon me. I have two questions concerning princess cuts. I want a stone in the 1.5 range but I want to stay under $9000 for the stone and I still want an great cut. Is going to excellent over very good a big deal? . Are there any stones you would suggest?
I’d be happy to make some recommendations and guide you through the process. What type of setting are you considering? Yellow gold or white gold/platinum? Will it be a solitaire or does it have sidestones/pave? This may affect the colors that I recommend for the center diamond (as we explain in our post on color).
Let me know and I’d be happy to send you some suggestions.
It will be set in either white gold or pave and most likely pave. I
want it to be super nice and from your website I see that the cuts
given to princess are not official so I don’t want to make the mistake
of selecting something wrong.
I would recommend this one. Its bright, eye-clean and well cut. What do you think?
Is an h in color going to be white enough? I have been reading that
they may have that slight yellow to it?
You haven’t read that here.
