Hi. I’m looking for a lose diamond for an engagement ring and would love your expert advice. This will be in a white gold or possibly platinum ring, probably a simple 4 or 6 prong solitaire setting. Her fingers are fairly delicate, so I’m trying to keep the size down to 1-1.25kt and in a round cut. I’d prefer James Allen since I like many of their policies. I’m thinking around $8000, +/- $1000.
Thanks for your suggestions.
I think this diamond would be perfect for you:

Given the size expectations you have, you have plenty of room in your budget. This diamond is eye-clean, and a fantastic cut. Since you had the room, I went towards the high end of the color scale we recommend.

Thanks for the suggestion. I didn’t realized it would go so quickly, and it was gone before I acted. I won’t let that happen again. I’m looking at upping the size anyway now. So now I’m looking for 1.25-1.5 carat, budget of $10,000. Still round cut, and going into a white gold, 6 prong solitaire setting. Can you give me a couple options of various sizes that you think are good options in this range to consider?
Thanks very much. I appreciate your help.
