Q&A: Looking for a 0.75 or Higher Carat Diamond for $4,100 Budget

Firstly, thank you for the information on this site, it has been invaluable in teaching me about diamonds. There’s so much choice but I hoped to get your opinion/ recommendation on the following:

1) Max budget for the diamond is £2,700 (approx $4,100)
2) Platinum setting
3) Solitaire style diamond

Ideally I was thinking around the H/I colour, either a VS2 or SI1 clarity, 0.75 or higher carat with a > good cut. That criteria seems to hit the budget quite well. What do you think?

Thanks for the email, good to hear from you. No particular reason, just that they an office in the UK and I was unsure about the logistics of getting a diamond shipped from JamesAllen.com. It looks like it is relatively easy though.
