Our concern is with a D color IF center stone are the side stones on the band going to be an issue?

We have been married for more than three decades and all my wife’s jewelry was recently stolen and nothing was recovered. I am attempting to give her a new diamond engagement ring and wedding band. Am really hoping you can help with me making the correct decision on stone for the engagement ring. She loves the emerald cut and that what was lost in the theft. All her rings were also set in platinum. She is petite and ring size 6. I don’t want to overwhelm her hand either.

Sorry for the history but thought it important to tell you, quality is most important to me. I want these rings to be something she is proud to leave to one of our daughters.
