Dear Diamond Pro,
While researching diamonds, the 4Cs, and everything around an engagement ring I found your informative and helpful website.
Each different article gives me a better understanding what to watch out for when buying a diamond.
I’m looking for an Asscher cut diamond that will be set into a pavé setting. My maximum budget is $3500.
The diamond weight I was aiming for is between 0.7 and 0.85, preferably 0.75 or higher.
I’ve chosen the following settings:

The first one is 400$ less, but I’m tending a little towards the second one. I feel that the overall quality of the ring will be higher.
The budget of the diamond therefore is somewhat around $2000 to $2500.

My favorite is the second diamond: 0.73 carat. It has the best overall specifications out of the three diamonds.

I was also thinking of looking at smaller diamonds. I’m not sure if she would sometimes feel uncomfortable wearing the ring often when the diamond is “big”. I will try to find this out.

If you decide for a bigger stone, the H 0.73 carat is perfect.
