Hi, I am hoping you can help steer me in the right direction. I have been looking at the James Allen diamonds trying to find something within my budget of $5,000-6,000 but they are all starting to blur together!
My girlfriend has expressed a preference for a round solitaire set in yellow gold in the 1 carat range.
I have read through your articles, particularly the ones on color and clarity, and have been trying to find one that is eye clean. As to color, I’m concerned that if I choose J or K diamond, it might have a noticeable yellow tinge in less flattering light or when not perfectly clean.
Here is one I have been looking at:

The bottom line is that I want a beautiful ring and the most bang for my buck. I would love to get your opinion and to see some of your suggestions. Thank you!
You are on a right track. But the diamond you selected is little too deep.
This would be my recommendation for you:
There are no worries about J color in solitaire setting, especially made of yellow gold. https://www.diamonds.pro/education/color/
The diamond will be bright and brilliant. What do you think?
Thank you, I really appreciate the help.
Let me know what you decide to do in the end.
