I have been looking to purchase a one carat diamond with excellent brilliance for a very special 1920’s setting that I currently have on hand. I saw a .94 carat H SI1 cut grade excellent, polish excellent, and symmentry excellent on James Allen’s website. The GIA certificate stated clarity characteristics ….Feather. I know that sometimes a feather can cause the stone to fracture, so I was wondering if that should be a concern for me. The diamond is priced at $4,760 credit purchase price. Does this sound like a good purchase? I have been looking for quite some time.
Thank you very much for your time and assistance. I really appreciate your help.
Can you send me the link to that diamond please?
I went to the James Allen site to obtain the link on SKU443667, which is the item number, and the image no longer comes up. I saw it as of Friday, 02-13-15, however, it no longer appears. Apparently, the diamond must be sold. I am looking for one approximately one carat that is eye clean and extremely brilliant. Any recommendations? Thanks for your assistance.
What style setting is it? White gold/platinum or yellow gold? Solitaire, pave or halo?
It is a 1920’s mens platinum ring with a center diamond .98 J color SI1 (too yellow and not brilliant at all) and two side diamonds .55 H color vs1 – very brilliant. It has two baggette rubies on either side approximately .50 cts total.
Is this within your parameters?
It looks great. Thanks Michael. I will give it some thought and let you know if I buy the diamond. Thanks again for your time.
