Hello, first let me say thank you for all the information on your site. It has been incredibly helpful in assisting me with my ring purchase. I have a couple questions that hopefully you can answer. I’ve gotten the impression from your site that you think pretty highly of James Allen and the engagement rings they produce. My question revolves around their settings. I see that they offer fairly basic or “classic” style settings, which is fine. I’m curious about the quality of the settings. Are they on par with what you might find at a traditional jeweler? They seem fairly inexpensive…
Assuming the settings are on par I will likely purchasing a ring in the next week or two. I’d like to keep the price of the diamond around $4500. I need at least a 1 carat square princess cut. I’ve reviewed James Allen’s inventory and this seems to be an attainable goal, but further guidance would be appreciated. Thank you again for your time.
Their selection isn’t particularly extensive, but their quality and craftsmanship is superb. If you found one you like, stick with them. Can you send me a link to the setting you like? The setting style affects which color diamond I recommend.
Thank you for your reply. Below is a link to a setting I’m looking at right now. It will likely be something very similar to that.
This would be my recommendation for you:
Its bright, eye-clean and a great value. What do you think?
That’s looks great. Thank you so much for the help! I’ll be purchasing soon.
My pleasure. Please let me know how things work out.
