Looking for an incredible diamond and a ring setting similar to a Tiffany Novo, a cushion or emerald diamond. Have gone to Tiffany’s and seen the ridiculous price. I need some help. Worked through Blue Nile, James Allen and Brian Gavin. I came up with a few options from Blue Nile. Are these going to have the same “presence” as Tiffany’s?
At the store I consistently had “lucky” guesses in picking the most expensive rings with usually D color ratings. I really doubt I can see the difference but am just trying to make sure these have the same Tiffany pop. If there is really going to be no difference saving a few dollars, that would be nice but I’d rather give her the best.
Size: around 1 ct., she is in the medical field so very large stones can be difficult.
Setting:
Blue Nile Petite Cathedral Pavé Diamond Engagement Ring
Diamonds:
Blue Nile LD03805833
Blue Nile LD06925782
Blue Nile LD08451510
As you mentioned, you pay a lot extra for the stones to be E or D color. A G color diamond is going to look colorless and it saves you money. Have a look at this very well cut stone with the quality I’d recommend: Blue Nile LD08672505
It’s very well cut, eye-clean and going to look colorless.

As for the emerald, I can’t really comment on this shape without seeing a real picture. I need to see that there is no or little windowing effect.
Here’s an emerald with the quality I’d recommend:
Blue Nile LD07336977

This is very helpful, thank you.
I had a few questions about oval cut. My first wish in the stone is to be comparable to Tiffany’s. To really pop off the ring as compared to just being huge. Do emeralds have the same brilliance as cushion or oval?
Emeralds have less brilliance than cushion. And ovals have the most brilliance out of these shapes. If this is what you’re looking for, I’d go for an oval shape.
You are incredible, do you have a suggestion for an exceptional oval to be set on rose gold petite pave setting?
I’m happy to hear that you like my suggestions.
Here’s a beautiful oval shape diamond with only a little bow-tie effect: Blue Nile LD08530490
