Hello,
Thanks for helping. Searching for a diamond 1.5 Ct – with 10-11k budget – possibly H or G – that goes well on

Also I went to a Blue Nile associate near me who said these were the best advanced characteristic to search for in a round diamond. Do these matter that much?
Polish/Symmetry – Excellent
Fluor- faint
Round – 55-57% table
Depth – no more than 61.9%
Thanks.
In our experience, diamonds with depth up to 62.6% and table up to 59% return light with a lot of brilliance. Faint fluorescence is great for a G color stone, but I wouldn’t go higher than for an H color diamond (then you could go for a medium fluorescence too). It’s going to look colorless and it saves you money.

Have a look at this stone:
Blue Nile LD08562222
If you were willing to go one color grade down, here’s another option:
Blue Nile LD08558925
It’s slightly superior in cut and perfect for the style of setting you like.
Let me know what you think.
I took a look at Blue Nile links you sent and they both looked great but do you have any recommendations on James Allen? Just because I plan on purchasing everything from there to avoid any hassle of getting different companies to set the stone and take advantage of James Allen’s return policies if I need to.
Thanks again.
Sure, here’s my suggestions from James Allen:

The cut of the H color stone is slightly superior but it’s more expensive.
Let me know what you think and which of the stones is your favorite.
I like the H colored one but I got a little nervous seeing the wisp, feathering, and needles. Are these visible? Do the prongs cover them?
Thanks.
……
And will this H-colored diamond show any yellow tinting? Would it appear very white and colorless? Sorry for bombarding with questions.
As you mentioned, prongs of a setting can cover the inclusions. And twinning wisps and needles are usually not eye-visible.
As for the color, H is going to look colorless. You can read more here: https://www.diamonds.pro/education/color/.
I placed the order. I hope it’s nice. Thanks for the advice!
……
Is it true that resizing a pave ring can affect the integrity and the diamonds can fall off?
That’s fantastic news!
As for the resizing, this is a question for a jeweler rather than for me. I suggest contacting one of your local jewelers. He should be able to tell whether he can reset the ring without damaging the stones. I’m sorry I can’t be of a better help regarding this question.
