Hey guys, I have done some research and want to buy a yellow diamond as the center stone for an engagement ring. You guys have already been so helpful I was wondering if I could pick your brain as I am getting worn out looking at diamonds on James Allen for hours. Great site btw!
I am looking for a diamond 1.3 to 1.75 ish in carat. Fancy light is okay. I seem to be having the most trouble at the level of clarity I should be evaluating as even some SI1 seem to be very noticeable? Anyway would love to send you some pics and hear what directions you can guide me. My budget is between 5-8k. Thanks so much!
Of course. Send me the ones you found and we’ll see from there.
I am so excited! I have read so much about you guys online and your concept is awesome! I am in business too and love to see people who are changing the industry like you all are! I will do whatever you all need to make sure you get credit for the sell as your service is an absolute must for a novice like me!
So here we go! I am looking to get engaged as probably 90% of the people who write you are. My (hopefully) future fiance and I have looked here is what she really likes:
HALO U-PRONG PAVE with 2.68 CT. CUSHION CUT CANARY YELLOW DIAMOND
I love this ring, having researched diamonds with your help I figured I could get more bang for my buck as well as make it more personal by picking out the diamond myself. The best site that I could find was James Allen. They are amazing and no one else had their variety! You guys are the one who recommended them so kudos to you.
So far I think this is my favorite diamond that I have found. It’s about the size and cut I want, between 1.5 and 2.0 carats and below 9000 easily. What do you think?

Here are some others I have found.

ALL of your feedback is greatly appreciated!!! Thank you so much!
From all the diamonds you sent me, I like these two the most:

Since the first one is slightly cheaper and its cut is also a bit better, I prefer it over the other. Plus, it’s more squarish.
The other ~1.50ct diamonds had either worse color or were overpriced.
There was also one 1.34ct one, but giving the depth that is way out of the proper range and the color, that is not as pretty as the two I mentioned above, I wouldn’t recommend it. With the 2173607 one, you’re getting a far superior diamond for only $250 more. Plus, it’s 10% bigger.
You are awesome!!!! Thank you so much for your help. I love the service you provide! I will make sure you get credit for the help and I will send pics of the final!
It was my pleasure helping you. I’d appreciate to see the final product.
You got it!
Looking forward!
Hey, can I ask one more question? I am going to buy the diamond you recommended with a pave halo setting. I have seen that some people use yellow gold for the prongs on the yellow diamond so that it looks more vibrant. Is this worth doing in my case?
The color of the prongs doesn’t have much effect on the diamond’s look. Choose whichever option you like better.
Great! You think that yellow will pop? I mean looks wise lol.
White metal will be more noticeable on a yellow diamond. So it depends on if you think you’d like that or not.
Of course!!!!
Let me know how it goes.
Will do!
…….
I just proposed! the ring is absolutely stunning. if you need more pics I will be sure to send, just let me know. Thank you so much for your help. Its so gorgeous!
I’m so glad that you like the ring so much! Thanks for writing me back. And congrats (at least I hope she said yes!).
I will do both!!!
Thanks again!
