I am looking for looking for a cushion cut diamond for a solitaire engagement ring. I would love to stay in the 8-10k range. I am not obsessed with carat sizes, but I would like as large of a stone I can afford. I have noticed on some of the stones i have looked at, that a 1.5ct diamond can have just as much a surface area as some of the steeper cut 1.7 diamonds measurement wise.
I would love any suggestions. Here is what I have looked at so far:
