Hi, after reviewing your site (hugely helpful), I’d like your help selecting a loose diamond as an engagement ring replacement (I’ll follow up with setting later).
I’d like to be around 1.4 carats (social norm range around us) or a similar size if there is a price break-point.
I’d like an excellent/ideal cut, valuing this above color, clarity based on your comments. The setting/band will be yellow gold.
Budget flexible, +/- $10,000, absolute cap at $15,000. I’m very happy coming in under as advised, basing my budget on my crude review of the James Allen site.

1. I like your suggestion, but based on your site materials, believe I need an H because the setting/wedding band will have side channel smaller diamonds and unsure of their clarity.
2. Also, more comfortable with VS1 for non-visible ease of mind.

An I color is absolutely perfect, even for a channel setting. You don’t have to worry about it at all.
As for the clarity of VS2, the inclusions on both diamonds are insignificant and won’t be visible to the naked eye. Both diamonds are beautiful. Go with the one you’re more comfortable with. If it were up to me, I’d go with the less expensive one.
