I’ve picked out a white gold twisted pave solitaire setting from James Allen and am looking for a diamond to go with it. After reading the website, I’m interested in the largest eye clean diamond with the following specs:
Setting: 14K WHITE GOLD TWISTED PAVE SHANK CONTEMPORARY SOLITAIRE (James Allen)
Shape: Round
Budget for diamond: $3000-3400
Color: Have been looking at I. Does this seem right?
Cut: Excellent
Clarity: SI2 OK as long as eye clean

An I color is absolutely fine for the setting you chose.
The diamond you found looks great, but I’m a bit nervous about the cloud. Usually, when clouds are the first thing listed in the cert, they are very important and might affect the brilliance. Try asking JA if they can inspect it by their gemologists.

It has a feather on the edge, but if they put a prong on it, it would be unnoticeable.
