I’ve been browsing your site on and off for several months now, so thanks for providing all of the information that you do, it has been very helpful. I’m finally ready to purchase an engagement ring so I’d love to get your opinion on a couple of diamonds I’ve picked out. Here’s what I know she wants: a princess cut diamond in a yellow gold ring with a bezel setting. Ideally I’d like to get a 1 carat diamond.
This one looks great to me, but it has the IGI certification. Should I worry about that even if the stone looks ok?

This one costs a little more and is a tiny bit smaller, but it does have the GIA certification. I can see a couple tiny marks on it but it appears to be eye-clean for the most part.
