I am looking for a princess cut diamond that is larger than a .55 carat but less than a 1..01 carat– for a solitaire setting. My dilemma is which online retailer to use. I go back and forth between James Allen and White Flash, and while reading through dozens of posts on your site it would appear you tend to lean toward a certain direction, consistently. Which i have no problem with. But what would your professional opinion be for a diamond of this size with a budget of about 2200? Thank you so much!
Regarding White Flash, I’m sorry, but we will not comment on them under any circumstances. We have had terrible personal experiences with them that a) make us feel no one should ever buy from them and b) precludes us from being objective about them.
I’d be happy to search JA and send you some suggestions as they are an established and reputable company.
How about something like this?

This diamond is well cut, eye-clean and will be very brilliant in any solitaire setting you choose.
Thank you! I really appreciate it.
I’m impressed with the diamond you selected, thank you. I would like something higher on the color scale, as for the fiancé to be, she cares most about color and size.
You’re welcome, I’m glad you like it.
Would something like this suit you better?

It happened to be a much better value than some of the Hs and Gs I found in that range. It’ll make a beautiful ring.
Now that one…I like!
Great. Is there anything else I can help you with?
Not at all.
Alright. I hope you’ll love the diamond when you receive it. If you could let me know how it looks when it arrives, I’d appreciate it.
Absolutely.
