I am looking to buy a set of diamond earrings for my wife. I am looking at a total weight of .70-1.00 carat princess cut studs in a white gold setting. I was thinking about buying from Blue Nile. They are .73 carat color F, clarity SI1, and cut: good. They are priced at $1208. I stumbled across your site and figured I would take you up on your offer. Thank you!
P.S. My timeline is that I need them in two weeks.
Can you send me a link to the diamonds you are considering? I’m happy to take a look at them and give you my feedback.
This are the diamonds.
Blue Nile LD07163355 & LD07163434
Thanks.
Thank you for the link. I’m not a fan of those diamonds, they are poorly cut and will lose a lot of their brilliance.
I’d go with something like this:
Blue Nile LD04609233 & LD04988220
These diamonds are well cut and match perfectly.

What do you think?
After looking at some earrings in person, I want to go with 1 ct total. I don’t want junk but I also don’t need super high quality since they are earrings and not a ring. Do you recommend looking anywhere besides Blue Nile? I really want to stay at or under $1500. Any advice is much appreciated.
Thanks.
I searched in the SI1+ clarity range and those diamonds I sent you in my previous email were the cheapest option I found. Sometimes VVS diamonds can be a better value than SIs.
More options from Blue Nile:
Blue Nile LD08494824
Blue Nile LD08494839

Again, this is the cheapest pair I found on James Allen:

One last question. Which do you like better?
Blue Nile LD06946241 & LD07422750
or the .52 and .5 pair you sent in your last email?
Thanks.
Definitely the pair I sent you. This preset is horrifically cut and will lose a lot of brilliance. I’d stay away.
