My question is does a fancy yellow diamond that is the exact same cut, clarity and carat cost more or less than a regular white diamond?
I’m looking for the best possible deal for a 3-5 carat yellow diamond. I found a few online but it seems like there is a big price difference and wasn’t sure why.
Thanks for any advice and direction you may have. I also appreciated your suggestions on the settings to bring out the color.
Thanks again.
To be able to answer you correctly, can you tell me what shape diamond are you looking for?
Also, what is your ballpark budget for the stone? The price range varies a lot between a 3ct and a 5ct diamond.
Thanks for the response. I am looking for a cushion or princess cut or something similar. I saw a 3 carat for around $17,000 so 15 to $25,000 price range?
I recommend something like this:

The color intensity is one of the most important aspects on colored diamonds. The more intense it is, the more valuable the stone is. That’s why I chose a fancy yellow diamond.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks for your response.
I read on your website that there are ways to bring out more vibrant color based on the setting that is used. Can we find a bigger stone with a little less color intensity around the same price points?
Also, do the company’s you work with offer financing? If so, what are the usual terms?
Thanks again!
It depends on if you care about how the diamond looks or what the value is.
This one could also work:
www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/fancy-color/yellow/cushion-modified-cut/4.02-carat-si1-clarity-sku-2405068?a_aid=dmnd1357
If you put it into a yellow setting, the color will be more noticeable, however, you can’t expect to change the intensity a few grades up.
I keep finding options on JA only, so I’m sending info about financing from them: https://www.jamesallen.com/financing/
Thank you.
Which of the 3 diamonds, including the one you sent below, would you say would look the best? My girlfriend use to sell jewelry in Las Vegas so she knows diamonds (I couldn’t find the first one you sent maybe it’s old?):

Thanks again for all your help.
I like the cushion I sent you yesterday the most. From the size point of view and the price. The other one you found has more intense color, but the inclusion is really bad. Even though the clarity isn’t as important as on colorless diamonds, you can’t ignore it completely. I would rather avoid that diamond.
OK agreed. I would like to finance it so what’s the next step? Are you able to negotiate an even better price for me?
Unfortunately, we aren’t able to negotiate a better price. Prices online are usually fixed.
Take a look at their financing options and ask them directly for more information: https://www.jamesallen.com/financing/
And if you like one of their options, you can order the diamond.
