I am looking to buy an eye clean (don’t care about 10x) round diamond in a solitare setting with colour that looks clear to eye sight (dont care about 10x) and a cut that sparkles , carat largest by sight that fits the specs. Ie if a 1.5 looks that same size from the top at 1 carat would rather go with 1. Platinum band . Ideally looking to spend around £7,500. Thanks.
I looked around and I love this diamond for you:
Blue Nile LD06954501
This diamond is very well cut and will look great in any solitaire setting you choose.
There is still room left in your budget, so in case you would want to go with a larger carat, let me know.
What do you think?
Will the strong blue fluoresnce be an issue ? I know on the website it says to avoid as can appear milky.
I understand your concerns, but strong fluorescence is usually considered a bonus on J and lower colors. It makes them look a bit whiter and its incredibly rare that they have any milkiness/haziness.
Thanks, I have ordered will let you know as can only tell by sight – thanks for your advice.
My pleasure. If you could let me know how it looks in person, I’d very appreciate it.
Thanks for all your help, I proposed on Saturday, she said yes and she loved the ring.
That’s great news. Congratulations!
