Hi,
I am looking for an engagement-type ring. I am looking for something that at the same time doesnt look ordinary but is still sort of “classy”.
Dont like the pear shape.
Overall the diamond should be of a decent size and happy for it to be in combination with other colourful stones.
Budget is in the $10k range. I am located in the UK if this is of importance.
Let’s figure out the setting shape you’d like. Do you wish to have a solitaire ring or would you like some diamond accents in the band or around the center stone? Do you have a shape you like? Do you fancy round shapes and would you prefer something square instead?
Either a round, almost circle or square shape would be preferred with accents in the band and around the center stone. Aso happy for these to be in a different colour.
Great, thanks for the info.
Check out these two links. There are a bunch of settings with gemstones accents. Do you think you could browse them and tell me if there’s something that has caught your eye?
Blue Nile are based in Europe (they have an office in Ireland) so you wouldn’t pay any import fees, just the regular VAT (21%).
I liked the ones with saphires or some colourful stones around the main diamond.
That’s a beautiful setting you picked, I love it.
Here’a a couple of diamond options that would look great in a halo setting:
All of them have fantastic specs so now it’s up to you, whichever of them suits you price- and size-wise.
I like the ones in the 1.3 and larger category.
Do they work together with the selected ring or is there a maximum.
Where do you think is value in terms of colour and clarity? It obviously should be nice and shine, but there seem to be big differences in price.
I’m glad you like them. All of the diamonds I sent you would work very well with the sapphire halo ring. I chose options that would be absolutely colorless and very bright.
What I do is that I set the depth and table %, fluorescence, carat, color & clarity range, … filters and then I sort the results by price. Then I look for the best-priced ones that are eye-clean and have a great cut. Cut is our #1 priority – that’s how I choose the final recommendations.
Ok, thanks so much. Please apologise my ignorance but the price of the stone shown is in addition to the ring selected or is that already included? Do you generally recommend white gold or platinum for the ring?
No worries. The setting is not included in the price of the diamond. You have to add both items in your shopping cart and then you’ll see the price for the whole ring.
As for the metal, white gold is what we always recommend (https://www.diamonds.pro/education/platinum-vs-gold/),
So to move ahead with this, understand that I need to call them.
Thanks again and appreciate all the help
You can either call them or put the diamond + setting in your shopping cart and proceed to checkout.
