Q&A: Help Finding a Round Diamond For a Platinum Pave Setting With a $5-10k Budget

Hi

I’m based in the UK and looking to spend £5-10k on an engagement ring. I like round shape diamonds and platinum pave settings. Fairly simple style.

I think this is my favourite on there: Petite Twist Diamond Engagement Ring in Platinum

Do you have any suggestions?

I searched for diamonds that are well cut and eye-clean. These stones are fantastically cut and all of them would be very bright and brilliant.

Is there a “right” size for a setting like the one I picked? Or would you recommend going for the largest stone I can afford that gets good scores on the other three Cs?

The 1.30ct was an excellent choice, it has a beautiful cut and will make an amazing ring.

Regarding the size, there is no rule. Everybody should get what they like/feel comfortable with.
